just a traditional, self-taught artist who needs a place to post my stuff (plus some re-blogs of stuff i like, mostly art). i will primarily use this site for art networking and not so much for "socializing," but you can still feel free to talk to me, ask me questions, and all that fun stuff. i am also on deviantart(as xharleenquinnzelx) and there is a wider variety of my art there, mostly the really gory, morbid stuff and stuff i'm not super proud of. so feel free to check that site out if you want, and thanks for visiting my page :)

artistic frustration…
does anyone else get frustrated looking at what is considered “art” these days? completely photo shopped images/photo manipulations, collages from stupid magazine images, and meaningless photographs with “deep” meanings behind them really piss me off. i create art with brushes, paint, pencils, paper etc. and all that gets recognized these days is digital art and similar bullshit. not that all photo shopped images aren’t art, because there are some extremely talented artists who will draw something awesome and upload it to shop and it’s beautiful. but there are many more people who are just hacks who can’t color shit and look for an easy way out. i don’t know.. sometimes i just really resent “art” in today’s world. that’s the end of my rant.. now to relax and not focus on bullshit that pisses me off.
